Sustainable House Day in Australia
Woo Hoo! LTSH (Long Term Suffering Husband) is out of town and I’m going to hit this town! I’m going to check out a Sustainable House…
Yes, I know, I’m such a party animal…
This weekend, Sunday 13th September, is National Sustainable House Day, and the Aussie Government is helping out by allowing us public Sustainability Nuts (that’s you and me) to wander through over 170 private sustainable homes throughout Australia for free.
Well, I guess visiting 170 sustainable homes in the one day might be a bit of a stretch???
The website, Sustainable House Day has a handy list of the homes open – so check out which are closest to you and go have a look. The doors are open from 10am to 4pm.
Ooooh – I can’t wait to tell LTSH I saw homeowners actually implementing recyling practices, using renewable energy, and creating water wise systems… many of which we can replicate here at home.
LTSH may not want to leave me alone unattended again! (it’s the wild child in me!)
