If your little organic garden has been sprouting fruit and vegetables like a mad production line – congratulations! and why not give yourself a little treat for the work you put in to getting it started?
Here’s a face mask that is full of nutrients for your skin and incredibly easy to make partly from what your garden produces…
Ingredients:
- a selection of fruit and/or vegetables (avoid grapes as they can be too harsh)
- 1 teaspoon of plain yoghurt or almond oil (choose yoghurt if you have oily skin, and almond oil if you have dry skin)
Method:
- Add your fruit and veg to a blender or food processor.
- Chop to a pulp.
- Strain off juice.
- Mix pulp and yoghurt, or pulp and almond oil.
- Spread mask over face. Avoid the delicate skin around your eyes.
- Relax for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Rinse with cool water.
Your skin will feel tingly and alive, yet incredibly soft for the rest of the day.
I can’t wait to try this on LTSH (Long Term Suffering Husband). He’ll give his usual sigh of intense patience while I ‘accidentally’ get some in his eye and up one nostril. Hoooo-haaaaa (evil laugh).
